Weaving
Weaving is a fiber that is strung together to form a rigid object, usually to make baskets, bags or furniture. Webbing is often made from plant-derived materials, but plastic fibers can also be used. The material used can be any part of the plant, for example the core of water hyacinth, abaca, sea grass, kubu, croco or rattan or the entire thickness of the plant, such as willow. Other materials that are well-known for use as woven are reeds and bamboo. Usually the frame is made of a stiffer material, after which a more flexible material is used to fill the frame. Wicker is light but strong, making it suitable as furniture that is moved around a lot. Wicker is often used for furniture on verandas and patios.
